So I am torn about the venue. My options right now are to have a Friday night wedding at a venue that I love and is exactly what I'm looking for or have a Saturday night wedding at a venue that I like a lot but not as much as the other venue. This venue is also throwing in a lot of extras .. I feel so torn!
I will be inviting a number of out of town guests and due to their jobs .. I'm not sure if they would be able to take off and attend a Friday night wedding .. That's my big concern.
What do you ladies think?!

What are the venues you are deciding between ?
In my opinion you should go with what you love and what will make you happy because you do not want to be second guessing yourself later. Weddings are booked far enough in advance that people will be able to take off work. Just make sure you and FH happy! That's the most important thing :). Happy planning !!

We chose Friday. Everything is so expensive that every bit of savings counts! We are saving over $3,000 on our venue by having a Friday wedding. We believe that the people that want to be at our wedding will make the trip. A majority of our guest list will also be traveling for the wedding, and we figured that most likely they'd be taking off a few days anyway. We haven't sent out our save the dates yet, but we told most of our guests the date as soon as we knew so they have had plenty of time to request off of work and make travel plans. Of course we would love for everyone to come, but if some can't, it isn't the end of the world. We will still be surrounded by people that we love on our special day. FFIL was very against the Friday wedding when we were first deciding on a date, but we stuck with what we wanted!

If you really want the out of towners there I would go Saturday. I would always rather go to a Sat wedding than Friday night. After a long work week I'm tired on Friday night!

We chose to go with Friday. We saved $30pp sticking with Friday and it will be amazing. The people who want to be there will be there and make it work. Your save the dates will give plenty of notice and everyone will have a great time. So take the day factor out of it and decide which place you love and see yourself getting married at.

Thanks ladies!! The venues are Lands End and Majestkc Gardens.
BUT today we went to see Chateau Briand and really liked it. FH loved it and it was the first place (out of 10) where he had a strong opinion about a venue. Soo, now I think it's between Majestic and CB because my parents really would like me to have a Saturday and since they are giving is the wedding they have some say :)

I was very close to getting married at Lands End - and I've attended weddings there in the past so I know they do an amazinggg job! Ive never been to majestic garden or CB, but I know CB is a Scotto Brothers venue (just like mine Fox Hollow) so Im sure its great as well!

I would go with the venue that you love. We had the similar issue, and decided to go with a Friday night because we really wanted September. The people that are important will make it no matter when you have it, and the sooner you accept that you will NEVER please everybody the much easier this process will go for you ( trust me! lol). It is your wedding day and should be your fairy tale... not something you look back on and wish you did differently because you tried to please everybody else. That's just my opinion, good luck!

I would definitely recommend that you go with what you and FH love. I know it's complicated because your parents are paying but explain to them why you love the place and maybe they will be okay with a Friday. The people coming have plenty of time to make arrangements for the wedding and the ones that matter most will be there no matter what day of the week it is
