Hey everyone!! This is my first post and I am pre-engaged (boyfriend says he'll pop the question REALLY soon he bought our ring last week!) but my soon to be fiance and I have looked at many places already. Mostly around upstate and the city, but we're also on a budget and are looking at LI now since it would be more convenient for our families.
I'm wondering, if anyone could help me clarify what months are CHEAPER and how much do we save? We'd love a winter wedding anyway because it's my favorite season, but I'm just wondering what months count as off-season. Also, does anyone have any suggestions for a SMALL venue? Around 75 people or less? I guess we could up it to 100 if we really needed to, but we'd like to keep it as small as possible. We're hoping to spend 12k on the reception only.
I've looked online only and Fox Hollow and Milleridge look SO beautiful. If anyone has pricing they'd like to share, I would greatly appreciate them.
Thank you so much!!!

I would suggest looking at the cottage at East Wind. They have an all inclusive package thats 10k for 100 people. I'm getting married at East Wind but in a different room as I needed to fit at least 150 people and the cottage was too small for that. Its beautiful though and the food at East Wind is amazing!!

Check out captain bills in bay shore. It's perf for smaller weddings. As for what's considered off season, December-March are usually the least expensive.

I am looking for a place for a small venue too. Some people suggested Snapper Inn, Irish Coffee Pub, and View (in Oakdale). I heard they are all good for small weddings. I personally haven't checked any of them out yet, but have read good things.

Off season is usually November-April. You should look into the lessing's venues. A lot of them (like Smithtown Landing Country Club) have all inclusive packages for 100 people for $10,000. Also, at least I know for SLCC they have 3 different size rooms, so you can pick which one would best suite what you are looking for.
When I went to Milleridge, they quoted me $80pp (not including taxes and fees) for a Sunday daytime wedding in November.

November to April is mostly considered off-season. I'm also having a small wedding, and I really wanted one wedding at a time. But since we were looking for a 60 person minimum (inviting about 75), our options were very limited. If you are not opposed to a Friday night or Sunday wedding, I'd suggest looking into Timber Point. They were super accommodating, it is one wedding at a time, a Lessings owned venue with great food, and you'll end up spending much less than 12K for 75 people (we booked early 2013, so prices may have increased though).

In my experience the off season was nov, dec, jan, feb and sometimes march. On long island you can def do a reception for 12k. I looked nearly 9 month ago now so ill do my best! My first suggestion is all inclusive venues. Most places r 10k for 100 people. Here is the link to the list. all inclusive venues From the other places, my prices r for Fri night btw Jericho terrace was $85/pp for feb and $91/pp for March Westbury manor was 75/pp for march and 67/pp for feb Stonebridge was about 80/pp for jan/feb and 90/pp for march Atlantis was 69/pp for buffet 89/pp for sit down dinner for feb/march Sunset harbour they have 5 menu price opitions 55, 65, 75, 85, 95/pp for feb/ march Old field club 130/pp feb/march The metropolitan 120/ feb/march

I just have to say.... I am SO excited to see another 2017 bride. :) I agree with everyone else, all inclusive is your way to go.
I don't have winter prices but check out the Lessings venues, they're really nice.

Winter is typically off season. Lessings is a great place to start. I'm partial to my venue of course. Bellport min is 80 so definitely check them out too. I feel like venues in Suffolk tend to be more budget friendly

If you're on a budget and winter is your favorite season, that works out perfectly. December-February were the cheapest quotes that I received. I would check out Stewart Manor Country Club!

Stewart manor and sea cliff manor are good for a smaller wedding and I was quoted $75/80 for September/October so I would only imagine that it's less than that!
Also, the riviera has good prices for the winter!

I'm doing the Cottage at East Wind, but you have to Guarantee 100 guests.
Co-worker is having hers at Captain Bills.

I just looked at the Snapper Inn and Loved it! So many options to fit your needs and budget. The Pavilion is gorgeous. Speak to Lori she is so helpful and friendly. I think that may be my wedding venue just looking at a few places on Fire Island first.

if you like those venues then i'm assuming you like the rustic look. in that case look at Three Village Inn, Stony Brook. it's a little far, but beautiful! i'm getting married there in June. you can get a great deal. and off season is usually November to April.

Were looking at Riviera, Timber Point CC, Swan Club, Captain Bills, Bridgeview. Winter months are much cheaper.
