My fiance really wants a wedding reception on the water, are there any suggestions of where we should look?
We are getting married at a church in Suffolk, so nothing too far away. Plus, we are paying for the wedding ourselves, so nothing crazy expensive.
Any suggestions about places you have been to would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Venue Help
Old Field Club and Bourne Mansion are both on the water...if you know anyone who belongs to a yacht club, those are on the water and great for weddings too.

Re: Venue Help
Definitely check out The Riviera, Chateau La Mer, and Venetian Yacht Club. We also live in Suffolk and those are the 3 places we checked out and fell in love with The Riviera. They are all within the same reasonable price range but The Riviera was the only venue that has 1 wedding at a time out of the 3. And, they seem more willing to work with you when they know you are on a tight budget.

Re: Venue Help
My wedding was at View in Oakdale - and although its not a 'typical' RH, it was amazing. The water views were beautiful - we got so many compliments on the venue and food. FM me if you'd like more info.

In addition to all the others mentioned already, the Snapper Inn is a nice place in Oakdale on the river. It's not quite as windy as the bay and is very peaceful.

Re: Venue Help
I'm getting married at the Bourne, but I actually second the View! I went through a phase where I thought I could afford to have a rehearsal dinner, so we went and checked it out, and my fiance was like, 'Wow. We should get married here and ride off in a yacht.' It's gorgeous, and it's Lessings, so I'm sure the food is great!! And the water is RIGHT there!!
