Hey ladies my fh and i were dead set on getting married at his parent's house which is located on the beach. well that was before i found out it will be about 8k just to rent tents, tables, chairs and linens. by the time we factor in caterers, valet, bartenders and all the other various things we will need, it will be well over the amount it would cost to have it at an outside venue. so now im trying to look for places that are reasonably priced but still has the beachy feel. we're set to get married june 2013 but based on prices i can be flexible. i was looking at waterview club on line and it looked really nice. any input(quotes would be especially helpful) or other suggestions would be great! thanks :)

Hey! I had a similar issue. I really wanted a beach wedding, so I looked into renting a beach house, but most of them became really expensive once they found out I was having a wedding, and that was before all the rentals. :/
I am actually having my wedding at The WaterView Club, so that's why I'm crashing and responding to your post. Their prices are pretty decent, and especially for the beach feeling and the view and the food absolutely sold me. I was quoted $90-$120 pp for a Saturday night in July 2012 and $80-$110 pp for a Sunday, and even at the bottom price point, the amount and quality of food is absolutely unbelievable. Right up the road from The WaterView Club is the Crescent Beach Club. I didn't go there because their min was I think 100 people and I was planning on a small wedding, but they also do their weddings on the beach as well as the cocktail hour which I think is pretty cool.
The Montauk Yacht Club, Gurney's Inn and Oceanbleau (in Westhampton) all looked very nice, but I was quoted $150 per head for all of them, so I didn't go to look at them. There are so many more, but I found what I wanted in the waterview club and I stopped looking!
