My future brother and sister in law are getting married in 2 months (September 25, 2014)! They were originally going to get married at town hall, but now they've decided they want to do a very small intimate ceremony and lunch afterwards, preferably on the water. They are looking into a Thursday day wedding, but could anyone give me quotes they got for venues per person for any day (Thursday - Sunday, day or night) around September? The venue can be anywhere in Nassau or Suffolk.
Thank you so much!

Venue Help!
I can tell you that Thursday will save your brother and SIL a lot of money. I would look into The Snapper Inn and Captain Bill's, possibly.
Do you know how many people they want to invite? My sister and BIL did something very similar and they held it at a restaurant they like on a Monday afternoon.

They are only going to have about 30 people. They looked at the Crescent Beach Club because they want to have an outdoor ceremony on the water and the lunch afterwards for there would be in the dining room with other guests eating. But they didn't include much in the cost per person.

What about renting out a restaurant with that # of guests? I think you'd be able to save a ton of money by doing so, and you know the food would be top notch!

That's what my sister and BIL essentially did. They had a daytime thing and had essentially the whole dining area to themselves, except the bar area was open to the public. They had about 60 people. It was a tiny restaurant. They had salad, pasta, dinner, cookies and cake (I think cake they were on their own) with open bar for about $60pp on a Monday. And they planned their wedding in 3 months.

They also want to have the ceremony outside on the beach or on the water, which is why they loved Crescent Beach Club. Does Captain Bills have outside ceremonies?

This was originally my first wedding date choice. It's the perfect day since it falls on a Jewish holiday. Schools will be closed and there will not be too much traffic plus it is on a Thursday which will save you tons. I think Westbury Manor has a small room that could accomodate them. Happy Hunting..
Stonebridge cc in smithtown..there price range is posted on their website..lessings.com
