Hi all! I am newly engaged and cannot wait to begin the planning, but I have ZERO clue where to start. I think by starting with a venue first will probably help and then go from there, but I will take all suggestions!
We are looking at a guest list of about 110-120 people, preferably in April 2017. Since I also have no idea what halls go for, could anyone please FM any quotes for April? Leonard's, Riviera, Sandcastle I know off the top of my head, but I'll take any.
Thank you kindly :)

You have FM with my quotes.. but they're from 2014 for 2016 so they are probably a bit higher now. Congrats!

Venue help/where to start?
Hi congratulations and welcome. I miss all the planning. It's so much fun lol. Are you guys having a church ceremony? if so start with that. Then the venue. I did the venue first and then had a hard time with the church. After the venue (and/or church/officiant) everything will just fall into place. Make a list of venues that have attributes you're both looking for. We wanted something on the water and view so we shopped around for that. We loved The Venetian Yacht Club and of course it was number one on our list. I too had an April wedding. It was amazing. Good luck with all your planning.

Re: Venue help/where to start?
Yes, we will definitely be having a church ceremony. I am excited to start the planing, but thinking of all that there is to do overwhelms me a bit.
Thanks again for your FM & suggestions.

My quotes are old now but I will say Riviera is very affordable. I would estimate they are probably $75-$85 pp before taxes in April. If you are willing to do winter, their pricing drops significantly in Jan through early March. (I am booked in early March paying $65pp but I booked in 2014).

That's great pricing! Were you happy with Riviera? What was your overall experience?

My friend got married at the Riviera! I loved this place! its so rustic. Check it out. I also got married at east wind which is an amazing place but its more further out east as I can see your looking out west more. Also call ADA Studio photography, we used them and they are amazing and their prices are great!!
