ive been to a hindu wedding at woodbury country club- where they even had the groom come in on a horse!

also ive been to 2-3 hindu weddings at crest hollow country club, i think any reception hall would be okay with it, as far as temples are concerned im not sure about that

you can find lots of mandaps and indian decor at the House of Dipali

I also definitely recommend Crest Hollow. Some other ones, I have been to were at Terrace on the Park, World's Fair Marina.

Hi,

This is actually my first ever post!!!
I've just started planning my wedding and am debating the same issue...

The upside to a temple wedding is that you definitely save money.

The cons: Can't really have a baraat procession or music/dancing, depending on the temple, and your guests will have to drive again to get to the reception.

We've pretty much decided that we'll be having the wedding at the venue. But some places i know you can have the hindu ceremony at are: Woodbury CC, The Hyatt in Hauppague, Crest Hollow CC.
