I posted asking for quotes on 2013 and someone suggested I ask here:
Just started looking at venues. I guess I didn't realize how far in advance people start planning. Our date isn't set in stone so hopefully that will help with availability. Can anyone send me quotes for some of these venues? I would like to know what to expect before going to see them (and avoid seeing any that are out of my price range). We wanted to check out:
Crestwood Manor Woodbury CC Woodlands Thatched Cottage Westbury Manor Watermill
Any other suggestions for venues that don't have high minimums would be great too!

thatched quoted way less than $125 May 2014; if you go with them in Winter of 2014 they do an all inclusive wedding for 10K which literally includes EVERYTHING even their centerpieces and a DJ, linens, etc --which I thought was phenomenal, but the FH is adamant about having a Spring/Summer Wedding! I am shooting for 2014 and we have been Venue shopping for about four months... dont feel bad. But I have to be honest, right about now I am starting to get anxious because things are DEF booking out, etc

The Woodlands is gorgeous, and the grounds are beautiful, but I went for a showcase and although the RH room is large, it's set up SO weird. The room is a giant rectangle with the dance floor in the middle, so anyone on either end of the rectangle is going to have to stand up in order to see the first dance, father/daughter dance, cake cutting etc. The way it was set up really gave me the impression that whoever you seat at either end of the room is going to be so set apart from everything. I would hate to have to sit there!
If you're looking for a Cottage-type feel with a large room and one wedding at a time, I would look at Thatched Cottage (around $100) or the Milleridge Cottage (88pp- my venue! I highly suggest checking it out, NOT to be mistaken with the Milleridge Inn, different caterer altogether). Both places are gorgeous and I loved both, but the Milleridge was a little cheaper and it was closer to the church.

Also, if you're looking for November/December, DEFINITELY look at the Milleridge Cottage! They are infamous for their Christmas decorations, and I think they book up fast for Winter weddings even more so than Spring. The Milleridge Village and Cottage look so beautiful at Christmastime

whaaaaaaaaaat? thats insane! I wasnt even considering looking there...and at that rate I might sheesh. Thanks for the info :)
BTW I am freaking out because we still def intend on tying the knot in 2014 and we've been to at least 12 places and a few tastings and still havent booked :/ I feel like I am going backwards I have so many other things already picked out, and planned out on paper its just a matter of finalizing our venue so i can finally go and make the rest happen!!! ALSO, I know the dates for next year already filling up.
