Venue selections

My hub-to-be wants a garden wedding in June 2008, near NYC (LI, upstate and northern Jersey are our options).

We want 80 to 110 ppl. at our wedding. Any suggestions for this newbie?

This weekend, we plan to visit few LI locations, but many are 130+ min. :( And what should I be asking them?

help.

Miller Beach Surf Club in Miller Place is where I'm getting married and it's lovely. The max is 120.

They're a vendor on here... Check them out.

Re: Venue selections

I think there are some vineyards upstate that may do weddings. Also out east on LI there are a few that do weddings. But they are 1.5 hours away.

Re: Venue selections

The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens has a pretty workable min, but I think that’s only for Friday evening or Saturday day…there min for Saturday evening is around 130 I believe.

I'm getting married at Woodbury Country club. They have beautiful gardens and fountains...I'm not sure of their min. it might be 120 but if you're onle off by a few they might be willing to work with you.
