Venue troubles

So when I booked my venue I needed a place that could cater to a small event 65-75 ppl and was budget friendly.
So we went with Coral House. The info I read was that there maximum # of events was 2.
Perfect, I was totally fine with this.
Come to find out 9/4/11 there will be 2 events that morning and FOUR events that night.
I was so upset I cryed on the phone to my banquet manager( who was extermely nice) reassuring me everything would be fine.

It's to late to do anything about it now, I just wish I knew this info before I booked.

How could they tell you the maximum is 2 events and then book 4?! I would be very upset also.

I am sure it is all going to be fine... I am sure they will go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of and that you and your guests have no idea about any other events going on...

But you might as well try to get something out of it

Yea, that;s the way it works.

It's 2 parties at the same time. However, the can have 2 in the morning and 2 at night and maybe in the afternoon too.

I know exactly your feeling - except I didn't know that was the case for us until a few days before (different venue). For us it was also hard to find a place in our budget and that would accommodate a small wedding..fast forward to day of, there were 2 other weddings. At the end of the day, we didn't notice it as much but it annoyed the crap out of me that our venue smudged the truth.

Don't worry - you will still have an amazing day!

so what if there are 6 other weddings that day, when it's time for your reception, it'll just be you and one other wedding, no?

they promised you 2 at a time so if it's any more than that, you can probably get out of that contract
