Venues

Hi ladies!

I'm the crasher from 2017 . We booked Thatched Cottage literally two weeks before they filed and we don't really know what's going to happen. We want to start looking around again in case the worst happens. Problem is that I am in nursing school and don't have time or energy to do venue hopping like I used to. So I was wondering if you lovely ladies would help me out a bit.Thanks so much in advance! The places we already visited include:

Watermill
Lands end
Crescent Beach Club
Mansions at Timberpoint and west sayville
Captain Bills
giorgios
Atlantis marine world

ETA: I'd prefer one wedding at a time

Venues - Long Island Weddings

the riviera is one wedding at a time in Massapequa. So is Stonebridge country club. Menu wise i think the only place that we'll offer a similar menu are Jericho terrace and floral terrace. At least from what I have remember. Good luck!

Venues - Long Island Weddings

Lands End quote us as follows for October 2016:
October 8th 2016 Saturday p.m.-
150 guaranteed priced at $135.00pp++
175 guaranteed priced at $130.00pp++

October 9th 2016 Sunday p.m.-
150 guaranteed priced at $110pp++
175 guaranteed priced at $105.00pp++

Mansion at West Sayville quoted us $110pp for Saturday night and $100pp for Sunday night. Those prices are inclusive of tax and gratuity, so it's the final price without any add-ons.

HTH :)

Captain Bills is where I'm getting married. They have a catering hall behind the restaurant called the Bayview House. It's 1 wedding a day, and you can pick whatever time you want to have your wedding. They do ceremonies there as well(they are in the reception room) but I'm doing it there. I got an excellent price and their food is amazing! If you have any questions feel free to ask! :)

Someone told me they cannot accommodate less than 200 people... Is this true? I had nixed it from my list for this reason

That's not true at all. You do have to guarantee 125 people if you are in the Bayview House. They do have a smaller room in the restaurant building, not sure how many people that's for..maybe like 60-70 people?

Just an fyi different time of year venues req a different min. My room holds 500 or 600 total but bc I'm getting married in March I only have to guarantee 175 but they told me if it was peak season id have to have min of like 400!!

Thanks ladies! I forgot to add riviera to my list. We went there and liked it but found TC. We went to the bayview house as well, I thought it was the same as captain bills but I guess not. The room was huge but I wanted an outdoor ceremony. I'm open to Nassau as well.

I know this is an old post but I went to 2 Lombardi's locations last weekend. I went to Villa Lombardi's in Holbrook and loved the style (Tuscan) but wasn't crazy about some of the details. Lombardi's on the Sound was also nice but not as updated. The view was to die for, I wish the room matched. Lombardi's on the Bay was too small for us so we didn't go see. They said in all honesty that 140 would be the most the room would fit comfortably.. but to me, they had the most beautiful room so I was kinda disappointed. All the locations have the same pricing. They have two different menus:

Lombardi Menu (more extensive):
Sat night 130pp +tax only
Any other time 110 pp +tax only
La Bella Vita Menu:
Sat night 90ppp +tax only
Any other time 110pp +tax only

For November 2015 I was able to get Lands End to come down to $97++ for a Friday night. We would have had to guarantee 175. We ended up not choosing them because even though The Somerley was more $ it was perfect for us so we went to Fox Hollow instead

I'm a little jealous! We wanted a beach wedding and Lands End was our dream place. They gave us a quote much higher and weren't willing to negotiate at all.

Same here..We were quoted a lot higher for a Friday in November, they weren't willing to budge with anything even paying for it in cash they didn't move on anything.
