So many of these venues get terrible revieews how the heck does one decide?

I recommend reaching out to past brides on here, maybe in the 2012 section or ones in 2013 that have already had their wedding. You can find postings in the Review Chat section. This way you can get recent opinions on weddings, and ask questions if the bride is still active on here. Venue is a big decision, so take your time, but a lot has to just do with a gut feeling that it's the place you want to have it. Good Luck!

yes brides on here are so helpful. check out the reviews of places from past years! if you search a venue name any post with it will show up and so will the reviews :)

I agree with the other ladies... just keep in mind that everyone has different ideas/opinions of what is a 'great' wedding hall. I've had people RAVE about their wedding hall and been a guest at the wedding and not be as impressed. I've also been impressed at some weddings and the bride had a lot of negative things to say.

Just remember that everyone is different and your gut feeling is very important to listen to :) HTH!

Definitely check out the review section of the forums. Brides are typically very honest when they write them and it gives you good insight into how the day went. With that being said, everyone has different opinions and tastes so it's really most importance for you to look at the venues in person and get pricing ideas there as well.
