I just went to VeraWang.com and nothing popped up about a sample sale. Why does she like you better than me?
(Maybe I just have my internet options set to block all popup windows? But I don't think so, I just think Vera's out to get me.)

For anyone planning on going to Vera Wang. Do yourself a favor get there no later than 7:00 AM on day 1. Trust me. I went to the one in 2005, got there at 10:00 AM stood online until 1:00 PM, and everything had been really picked over by that point.

heh, fh doesn't like vera, so even if i found a dress i liked he'd prob be against spending that much money on her, though i'd prob agree. i'm cheap. =0P

Ooooh thanks for the info!
Saks (NYC) also has a sample sale sometime in March. they have a ton of Vera Wang dresses. If you call the Bridal Salon there they will tell you. They'll also tell you that most of the dresses are sizes 8, 10, 12.

how does a sample sale work? ..you pick out a couple of dresses that they have there and u try them on ...or u have to know what u are looking for ...and do you have to pay in full for it on the spot?

Depends on the dress. The one I almost bought was $1500 instead of $5K. The one I really really wanted but didn't fit was $2500 instead of $7K.

At Vera Wang, they have a ton of dresses hanging. You go through the racks, try on what you like. If you find the dress of your dreams (and it fits - as in fits perfect or too big) you pay in full on the spot.

Yup-it's right behind Penn station/madison sq. garden at 34th street and 8th ave. It's strange because it's usually held at hotel Penn, but now they're at the new yorker.
