Verizon's Strike

Anyone or there FH/DH work there?

Anyone seriously freaking out over their upcoming strike???

No, as far as I know it will not affect your cell service. I mean the layoffs and the out of work employees. The union is preparing the employees for a long term strike. It will affect getting your phone repairs, installs and operator assistance.

(My FH works there, and we are saving up for a few months of him being out of work )

Oh Alias pook I hope everything goes well. A friend of my GF works there and she has 2 kids and is a single parent, I know this must be another uncertain time for them again. I hope it all works out for the best.

We have the wedding pretty much paid off. Actually, now that I think about it, it IS paid off. All the wedding money that I save now goes to our, 'Strike Fund'. The realization of him being layed off or striking for three months finally hit me today. I figured that there are probably a few bride's on here who will be in the same situation.
I know Betty's Fi works there also.

Feelin' the Love

Didn't REALLY start freakin out till now . FH doesn't really like to worry me so he doesn't tell me enough . We've been talking about the upcoming layoff. How long has your FH been there Laurie? They are laying off 500 (I think that's what he said) in the 5 boroughs. He started 7 years ago so he said he should be fine. IF they have another round of layoffs, that's NOT good!!!!!

About the strike......they are going on stike at the beginning of August and our wedding is AUGUST 29!!!!! Lucklily, we should have everything paid for the wedding by then and FH already took his time off for the HM and stuff (which they have to give him). It's going to be tough when we get back though. I'm hoping for the best!!!
