Tell them you're not happy with it and want a refund or they need to redo it better.

They probably weren't 300 dpi then. You can adjust that in your scanning program to be the default. Anything in print needs to be 300 dpi.

Not a lot of people know this so it's not your fault. I only know it because I had to take a design class in school and I worked in advertising. I think publishing companies should make it clear that images need to be 300 dpi or higher for pictures to come out clear when printed.

did you use booksmart?
I think i mentioned to you in your previos post on this that if you dont have high quality pictures it warns you with the excamation point in yellow diamond. If you scanned the old pictures, the quality already is not that great.
Sorry hun.

that program does warn you on the picture when its not a high quality photo and if you click the warning symbol it tells you that it may not come out clear because the quality of the pic is low (or soemthing like that)
i tried to make one with my eparty pics and couldnt because a lot of the pics were from disposable pictures, it was giving me warnings on every pic.
i used the blurb which uses the same program as mypublisher

thanks gina.. the program did not warn me about the quality.. so im upset about that but its my fault the pics werent scaned at a good quality.. but it gets the point across.. if i could have taken them with my digital camera im sure the book would have been fine.

WOW.. that stinks. theblurb def warned me.
Maybe try scanning some again and see if you can scan them in a high resolution
just for the heck of it. maybe you can bring the pictures to cameta camera or one of these camera places and see if they can scan them for you (in a higher quality) maybe it wont cost you that much.
