very hard emotional day!!

so last nite something happened with my older brother he was arrested for something that was a deal that had gone sour ( he was more the victim but apparently it was a crime also) im not going to go into much detail! sorry, but today we spent the day in court trying to find out something, my brother and me have always been close we are a year and 5 days apart and i cant picture my day without him i would be crushed. So they finally call him last case of the day and i step up on his behald because my mom was a wreck! and they read the case info and the DA states 5K bail my eyes fill with tears, none of us have 5K, so then i turn to his legal aid attorney and say im getting married in 6 weeks he is not a flight risk he is a groomsman, the legal aid attorney tells the judge and he set bail at 500. we pulled the money together and got him out but it is a long road ahead. between everything that has gone on in the wedding between my bridal party andmy Fh taking the bar, we are so tight with our finances from him not working and constant family drama i honestly dont know how much more i can take! im sorry so long i had to let this out !! i m always looked at to be the strong one i dont think i can be anymore!

I am sorry you are going through this. Somehow, you will muster the strength to get through this... and that is exactly what you will do. Get through it.

Just take it day by day.

When I have real conflict in my life I try to look at it a different way.

I think of the solution, not the problem. The solution is getting the atty he is working with to do the best job he can do. Assisting and loving your brother. Supporting him.

The fact is whats done is done. You cant change that. But by concentrating on solving the problem, yuou have something to work for, and a goal.

I agree--when you have something like this in your life, you have to think of how to get to the solution and not of the past. I have a younger brother who has been stuck in these situations, too--I had to help my dad pull together money for a decent attorney for my brother when he was caught in the middle of something about three-four years ago. It took its toll on my family, that's for sure. . .but we became stronger as a result. My brother is cleaning himself up and yes, it's still a long road ahead, but in the end, there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

Be your brother's rock, no matter what. Family comes first, and if helping him means that you don't have a signature drink at your wedding or something 'extra' like that, well, that's what it means.

Hang in there!!!!!! It will get better, speaking from experience!!!
