So, I tried to boycott this show and was instead sucked into the vortex of earnest hopefuls, a band desperately seeking new relevance, Brooke Burke's robotic line delivery, and Dave Navarro's tattoos.
Anyone else watching? Who's your favorite? Mine is probably Marty, because he is articulate and has a very nice nose. J.D. probably has the strongest resemblance to the dearly departed Michael Hutchence, though. (Sadly, both Marty and J.D. wrote songs much better than that new INXS number that the contestants had to sing.) Suzie? Ehh, she's fine. Mig? He's hot, but can you say SHOW TUNE?

i also though it was way too cheezy to watch but was sucked in. my fav is jd although marty does have a lot of talent. i think suzy is good but not for inxs maybe on her own. i also liked jordis alot.

Yeah, I miss Jordis. She was getting too nervous to perform well, maybe.
J.D. looks quite a lot like Michael Hutchence, don't you think?
J.D.'s and Marty's songs are both stuck in my head today. And I should probably be ashamed to admit that.
I wonder if Mig will win because the band wants an Australian guy. (I am beginning to think that Mig looks and dresses like Davy Jones from the Monkees, btw. Kinda scary!)

Jordis got booted?! I only watch occasionally, so guess I missed that. I liked her a lot. I thought she was the best performer, though I'm not sure how I'd like her as lead of INXS

I'm hooked! I don't watch reality TV but FH is an INXS fan and he started watching from the first show.
I think Mig hasn't been in the bottom 3 because they take votes from Australia and I think the voters there are keeping him on top.
I hate to say it but JD will probably be their man, even though Marty is the best singer IMO.

I LOVE this show, and I'm so bummed that it's over next week!!!! I also thought it looked ridiculous at first, but was sucked it.
I think it's definately between Marty and JD. Jordis was awesome, but I couldn't see her being the singer for INXS.

I like both songs, too. J.D.'s might sound a bit more like an INXS song, but I think Marty's is a little catchier.

i watch it every once in a while, and i have to say that i think the singers on Rock Star are MUCH BETTER than American Idol!

I agree about Mig. I just don't think he's really rock star material.
I'm still getting over the fact that no matter what happens, INXS will have a new lead singer at the end of the show. I know that the band wants to move on with their lives and careers, but I still feel sad about it. That's why I wanted to boycott the whole show at first! And then got sucked in, like the '80s music junkie I am... I have no willpower...
