Very Personal...but need advice..maybe TMI...

Sorry if this is TMI, but I need to know if anyone has any experience with this....

Started my cycle last Wed. and it wasn't right from the start...It was like it was the end of the cycle...very light....anyway, now it's a week later and I'm still exactly the same from last week. No cramps, not heavy and just like spotting...
I called the DR. this morning and she said that I need to go in. I can't go today(work issues) and the doc is off until Monday. I will go Monday. When I asked what this could possibly be, the lady said that it could be a miscarriage. I am freaking out right now!!! I am so scared.
I just wanted to ask if anyone had had a similar experience or has any other clue of what could be happening. I am truly sorry if this is TMI...I just needed to ask and hope for a response...

I don't know much about this stuff, but I always thought a miscarriage, besides heavy bleeding, also had heavy cramps. It doesn't sounds like that's what you have??? Sorry I couldn't help more, but good luck and feel better!

Sorry I don't know much. The one time my cycle was a little off like was when I stopped taking birth control pills.

don't worry! I think a miscarriage comes with a little more fanfare... It sounds like a weird period to me! Good luck!

Did you just recently stop taking BC? When I went off my BC I had light bleeding around the time that I should have gotten my period (sorry to be graphic but it was very light and brownish like at the end of my period). It turned out that I was pregnant at the time. Have you taken any home tests?

It could be a change in your cycle! It happen evry couple of years. As we get older. Plus the weather change can do it!! I messed up my pill & I got a weird period that was similiar to what you described.

Ladies...Thank you so much for your hugs and advice. I wasn't thinking a miscarriage at all...but when the lady said it , I freaked!! I will go to my appt. on Monday and find out what's going on. I am not on the pill, so that can't be it...but I am under some stress...my daughter is away in Florida with her father and I miss her alot, and I have some other things going on...so maybe it's just stress. Again,thanks for listening , it means alot, and I'll let you know what I find out.

That happens to me sometimes when I don't ovulate and my lining kind of sheds a little but its like it is at the end of my cycle. I internalize stress big time and it often messes me up (it took months of testing to figure it out though)

Anyway.....I'd imagine you are fine but it is good to check JIC.

There are two doctors on this site! One is an OB/GYN. Look under Newlywebs-getting to know you and she is listed. FM her your question.

I think a miscarriage would also include more blood and cramping- from what I have heard from others. BUT at this point, there would be nothing that could be done anyway.

I am sure this is stress. Women have been known to skip or be very late because of stress.

I had a m/c last year and this is what happened---sorry if TMI...I had just one day of heavy bleeding, minor cramps and then it just stopped. A few days later I started cramping again and I passed no blood just a clear 'clot'.
