VERY productive day!

Today my mom and I went shopping for my veil, headpiece and shoes and - I can't believe it - I got ALL of these things! For a steal!

We went to Barron's for the headpiece/veil. I had planned to get a large comb as opposed to a headband but as it turns out, the headband I tried on was GORGEOUS! I customized a veil as well and I am thrilled by how much we spent (next to NOTHING!).

We then went to Sandy's Shoes, which I was not really looking forward to. I have wide feet and usually do not wear heels, so I was worried about what I could find and whether they would be comfortable. Again, I am thrilled - I found a TON of cute shoes in all different heights for amazing prices. I settled on an adorable pair of kitten heel slingbacks with a touch of rhinestone. I am in luuuurve!

So - I had a great day doing wedding stuff with my mom - just wanted to share! Hope you ladies are enjoying this weekend as well!

ETA These are the shoes I got: http://www.sandys-shoesonline.com/new/larger_image.asp?id=234

OMG wait, I just looked at your profile - I DID see you! You were wearing a red coat, right? I was waiting for my mom in the vestibule when you came in. I remember thinking that I loved your coat (if that was you).

Am I right???

No, I was wearing a white coat. We were there around 11:00 so I may have passed you though. I was with four other girls and a baby.

Did you have a really hard time communicating with the woman who works there? I swear, I had such a tough time explaining to her what I wanted, even with pictures I brought which showed exactly what I was looking for! In the end I got what I wanted but gosh did it take a lot of effort!

I ALWAYS think I see girls from LIW and I am NEVER right! Oh well.

She was sort of difficult to understand, but very patient with me (since I was a disaster and had no idea what I wanted) and very pleasant, so I didn't mind. I just can't believe how much I spent on everything, compared to the prices that I was shown in bridal stores. I felt like I stole it, it was so cheap!

Yeah me too about the prices! I was ready to suck it up and buy Thomas Knoell headpiece to go with my earrings and bracelet but I figured I'd try Barrons. I got a custom headband that looks really similar to what I wanted from TK and a cathedral veil with lace and rhinestones in it for $400! I was very happy! That's a lot less than I would have paid just for the headpiece at TK!

Also, I just looked at your shoes and I got the same ones but with a tiny bit higher heel at Sandy's.... they're comfy aren't they?

They are SO comfy! I decided on the smallest heel because I know that is what I will be most comfortable in, but yeah - they are fantastic! I couldn't believe how comfortable the majority of shoes I tried on at Sandy's were! I'm very pleased
