i always wipe down a bottle/jar when I put it back in Dh DOES NOT do this so it gets dirty. I wipe down every month (serious cleaning) and i do a odd wipe up once in a while for when something dribbles or spils in there.

Hey, girls, the reason I posted this, is yesterday, when I had to refrigerate Fred's Birthday fruit flower arrangement, I had to remove the top shelf to our frig. to accommodate it!! Well, I'm the one who cleans, 'once in a blue moon'!!!!!!!!!!!!! If it wasn't for having to rearrange, that shelf would still be yukky!! I also threw away expired stuff!!!!!! Yea!!!!!!! Now just a few shelves more to clean!! Mary MOB

I love this poll too!
I try to clean it every few months - but ughhhhh, I hate to. I usually just try to be extra neat & careful..but unfortunately, my dh is NOT so lol....yeah, every few months.
(I must say...when I see a dirty fridge, it totally skeeves me out - ahh)

OMG never! what i do is when a shelf or drawer gets almost empty i will just clean THAT shelf but that means i miss stuff too sometimes
it really is strange considering that i have to have the rest of my house immaculate!!

Mary, I like that I could vote for WHAT! I thought they were self-cleaning!! I'd say we clean it about once a month and when there is a spill which is often because DH can't get used to closing our pitcher so it doesn't leak!

Um, never. In the 3 years we've lived in our apt., I think I cleaned it once.
If something is yucky and spilled, I clean that up. But that's about it .... I am getting lazy in my old age.

Jenn, I hear ya!!!!!!! My DH asked me if I planned to clean the REST of the frig last night 'while I was at it ' !!!!!!!! Ummmmmmmmmm, that would be a 'NO'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For Pete sake!!!!!!!!! It's already late, and you think I should do the whole frig.??????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These men!!!!!! I told him, at my age, I need a larger, side by side, with the 'prone to be messy' shelves at the top, so I don't have to hurt my back, bending over to clean it, ANDDDDDD, I could use one of those new pull out drawer dishwashers, so I don't have to bend over!!!!!!!! Oh and I forgot to say that I'm definitely a clean per spill kind of girl and once in a blue moon I get crazy and take every single thing out clean out everything.
