very small wedding..................

my fiance and i are getting married around aug-sept 2005 (have not set an exact date yet!) and we're only having 5-7 guests.
we moved upstate 2 years ago from long island. i wanted the wedding on long island!!!! any ideas on what restaurants rent out large rooms?!

I would imagine with 5-7 guests, you could go to any restaurant and have your own section.

no it's five to seven....my fiances parents are both deceased and my mom and dad's sides of the family don't get along....so i wanted to keep it small.....

where on long island are you looking? A place like the Garden Grill on 25A in Smithtown could probably accomadate you - it's very nice and has great food.

we're not really looking anywhere in particular.....i'm originally from islip so smithtown isn't far.....i'll have to check it out!

Also, The Country House in Stony Brook, or Giorgio's out east, the Three Village Inn in Stony Brook, um, if I can think of more, I will let you know

ooh, i think teller's in islip has a private wine-cellar type of room. it's a great restaurant!!

Oh! What about at a vineyard out east? There are a few that could accomodate small parties.

i love tellers.....my mom & dad always go there! i like the idea of the winery too.....i have some serious hunting to do!!!!!! my df left it all up to me!!!!!!
