I am so upset, because it is so hard to find apartment were they allow dogs.... NO ONE LIKES ANIMALS...WHAT IS WRONG WITH THOSE PEOPLE.....Can anyone tell me why the y dont allow dogs????

No allowing kids...now that is something I have never heard of! Crazy!

are you looking in apartments inside someone's home? i know that can betough, but complexes alow you, at least all of the ones FH and I checked out

It really is hard... Ive also seen places that didnt allow kids... I couldnt believe it! Obviously that wont work for us LOL!

I'm sorry...I know its frustrating..my friend had the same issue. She ended up renting in a complex and paying $100 extra per month(or something like that) for the dogs.

It is illegal to say or advertise that you won't rent to couples with children -- report them to the Suffolk or Nassau County DA for all the young families (mostly single mothers) out there
They can say 'no dogs' because some dogs are a nuisance and may cause damage to the rental.

I know how hard it can be I refuse to give up my dog!! is it a small dog?? this is my second apartment with a dog! keep looking! FYI i found newsday online to be a great help i was able to find a bunch there!!! try to rent from a person and not a complex and u might have better luck!
