Has anyone gone to see their dress for the first fitting and not loved it ??

Yeah because I was drowning in it. I'm like damn this has no shape, there's nothing special about it!
Then the seamstress started pinning and I saw some shape here and there... I felt a little better after the fitting, but the true test will be my second fitting. I hope I'm thinner by then too!!!

I remember having the feeling of liking the dress when I bought it. then still had doubts.. then went for first fitting and I loved all the changes they made to it.. made me love the dress more but I never had the OMG this is it!!!! I hope to get that at my next fitting:) At this point it doesnt matter if I love it or not my dad spent his money on it and thats what Im wearing regardless, lol!!!
if i remember correctly isnt your dress fitted? I remember it lookin amazing on you!!

When I went for my first fitting, I really didn’t like my dress at all. But after it was fitted, I really loved it!

I saw you in the dress that night when I was there trying on my dress - you looked GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!! It fit you so well and it was beautiful on you!! It may just be the sizing that you don't like but that is what fittings are forrrrrrrrrr!

Maybe with the fittings the seemstress can give you more of the look you are going for!

im going again tonite for the 'real' first fitting so i will update you girls tomorrow.
probably not a good idea that im going with my mom n sister because neither of them like the dress

YES!!!! I wasn't happy!!! It just wasn't the same as the sample but probably because it was just BIG on me. I think the second fitting is supposed to be better???

Funny enough I hated my dress for the opposite reason at my first fitting. I was wearing the wrong kind of undergarments and it looked bulky underneath and made it much tighter (not to mention my stress eating making it tighter). My mom was with me and she bought me the dress so I held it in til I got home. Then cried my eyes out.
But as the fittings went on and the weight came off I fell in love all over again. I was absolutely thrilled to wear it on my wedding day.
Wait until the second fitting to see how it looks once it's been altered to fit your body. After that, if you're still not happy, maybe you and the seamstress can make some changes.
