VERY Upset with Bridal Reflections (long)

Well here is the situation with my Bridesmaid dresses. My MOH lives in DC. She came up 3 month ago and got her 1st fitting. Then 3 weeks ago she came back the weekend of my shower. I did not know she was going for her fitting. She went on Friday and the dress was all uneven on the bottom. The seamstress said it did not look that bad and you can really notice it. She also said that there was nothing that she could do about it. My MOH told her she was very upset and she ask the lady at the front to come and look at it. The lady at the front was like it does not look bad and if she say she can't do anything about it you basically have to take the dress like that. They charged her full price for alterations. I finally got to see the dress and it look terrible and I was so upset with them.

I took to of my other bridesmaid last night and we showed the seamstress the problem with my MOH dress and she was like I can fix that, why did she not tell me then. I was like are you kidding, YOU told my MOH it could not be fitted. Then this lady Debbie came in to talk with us. She was so RUDE and NOT PROFESSIONAL toward us. Could not understand what she could do about it. I said my MOH lives in DC and will not be up here until the day before my wedding and her plane does not get in until 4 pm. I told her this is why she got her fitting so early. She then said to me tell her to come at 9 am on you wedding day and I will fit it. I looked at her and said we have hair and make-up appointment and live 30 min away are you kidding me. When she spoke to me she was so Rude. She finally gave my MOH her money back fro the alteration and extra length that was added to her dress.

This is my first bad experience with them and I am very unhappy with the way she presented herself and her personality towards me. My MOH did get the money back but I still hate the way the dress looks.

Thats crappy... Can she get it fixed somewhere near her? Or did they fix it?

I ordered my dress from Bridal Reflections
and plan on ordering the BM dresses from there too...
which location??
Massapequa or Carle Place?

If you are using Bridal Reflections in Carle Place ask for Lee - I had her and she was great!!

I second Lee for alterations. We had all the BM dresses done for my sister's wedding by her. She is very good.

a third vote for Lee...she had to tear apart my dress, do major work and put it back together again - and you can't even tell it was altered!

I am at the one in massapequa. I wish I could us lee. I really do not like the seamstress that does bridesmaids at the massapequa store. The one that does the brides dress is great my dress looks wonderful

I had a horrible experience with the CP Bridal Reflections. I had Patti help me, or rather insult me and make me feel poor. I would never get my dress there. I went there for another wedding as a BM and had similar problems as you did. They think who the hell they are and in my experience whenever problems come up they dont want to know you. It is also the luck of the draw with them. It all depends on who is helping you. Good luck

I got mine at the in CP, and know a few other who used them. The dress I wanted was cheaper in another store, but the seamstress in BR had a better reputation. I told them the price I saw it for, maybe $20 less , and they gave me that price. And I think it was reasonable and I was not looking forward to spending a huge amount of $$ on my gown. It was $1350, which is more than I wanted to spend, but sh!t happens.

smkkjm - You know you can get the dress transfered to the other location. Are you going to the one in Massapequa because its closer to you?

I saw my dress in Carle Place, but ordered it at Massapequa 'cause of a showcase and then asked for it to be transfered back to Carle Place 'cause it was closer for me - I live in Queens.
