Very, Very Upset Right Now!

I just called RK Bridal to set up my fitting for my gown. I was told to call in April and I was told by other reps there that you don't need an appointment. All of my bridesmaids went in with no appointment. Now they tell me that it too late and they have no time for me and they are all booked up. They never even bothered to call me to alert me of this since I placed my order.

So now I am screwed. Does anyone have the # of some good Alteration places in Queens or even Nassau that they've used?

I really appreciate your help. I'm about to cry.

Definitely try Bella Vie Bridal on Merrick Road in Lynbrook. My mom, bm's and fh mom are doing alterations there. This lady also makes dresses as well. U will love her and the price is good.

CINDY, OMG....you HAVE to go in there & demand they fit you, I know that may not be your personality, but WTH!!!!!! You ordered your dress through them & they HAVE to fit you in....no ifs, ands or buts!!!!

Hi girls,

Once my girls all get their dresses, I'm going to speak to the manager and give them hell. Honestly if they can't fit me in, I don't want them to do a rush job on me. What type of customer service is this? They NEVER called me to tell me to schedule one.

Anyways, thanks to Nicole's suggestions, I called Bella Vie Bridal in Lynbrook and she was VERY understanding. She said she'll squeeze me in tomorrow. So now I have to trek to RK Bridal in the am and pick up my dress, then go out to Long Island to start my fittings. I'm upset about this, but my priority is getting my dress fit correctly and fast.

jeezalou....that is horrible.

IMO - i wouldnt wait until after the girls get their dresses - because once all your girls are paid up and done - you have no clout. i would definitely demand some kind of restitution for yourself or your BM's - make a huge stink about it.

Same thing happened to FMIL and FGMIL with their dresses from RK...they are taking them to Charmet on Bell Blvd. FGMIL took hers already and FMIL is going next week. Don't worry..it'll be okay. We went through the same exact thing. FM if you need anymore info.

my dress maker is amazing, and reasonable. She is out of Port Jefferson though, I don't know how much of a hike that is for you. FM, if you want her contact info.

Thanks so much ladies for your support. I'm a bit calmer now. I'm going to Bella Vie Bridal in Lynbrook. She's squeezing me in tomorrow. I just have to rush from Manhattan back to Long Island, which is a pain. But after all this, I don't even want those people touching my dress, so it's best this way.
