I am sure this has been done before but I wanted to weigh the pros and cons of having a Viennese Hour. It will add an extra 10 dollars per head! It seems unnecessary to me. FH wants it. I would rather use the money for something else. I know it's a nice touch but it will close down the dance floor, plus wouldn't we have to pay our vendors for an extra hour too?
Feedback would be appreciated! TIA!

Re: VH yay or nay (w poll)
My VH is included but I just went to a wedding at the North Ritz and the VH was a huge hit. I don't know if we would have missed it if it was never there though.

Re: VH yay or nay (w poll)
We're doing a candy buffet + mini desserts instead of a VH.

Re: VH yay or nay (w poll)
we have mini v trays added, they come out to the table. We didnt want the hour cause i heard it makes the party come to a hault. I have heard my rh does it in a diff room and i didnt want that. So we asked for other options and got the trays added for free, and we added rolling dessert carts, we will prob do canolis. These carts come to each table instead of bringing u out of the party!
I have heard people who love the hour! just wasnt for us!

Not doing a VH but doing a candy buffet
VH are great and a 'wow' factor-- but its soo much food and sometimes not worth the extra cost the RH is charging

For $10 extra, that's a lot! Mine was thrown in and I wouldn't consider a wedding without it! It's just the perfect end to a perfect night

Re: VH yay or nay (w poll)
Our place includes a mini VH with trays of cookies, pies, fruits, sundae bar, etc. If I had to pay extra for it, I definitely wouldn't do it. I've never been to a wedding with a full VH, but I don't think I would have missed it. I still left stuffed, drunk and happy I say save the $10 a head and use it for something else.

Re: VH yay or nay (w poll)
I'd rather pay to have an extra hour where everyone is dancing if I had the money to spend. Plus as much as it is so delicious, I am usually so stuffed at a wedding I can't eat another bite! Good Luck!

It's really not necessary.

Re: VH yay or nay (w poll)
I would have loved to but it would have brought the price up too much and our hall didnt do VH for afternoon weddings.

we are personally not having one but that is not to say I don't enjoy a good VH! If ypou can afford it and want it - go for it!

Re: VH yay or nay (w poll)
My RH has it included in their package....but to be honest, I would trade in the VH for the choco fountain by itself. In the end we ended up with both, but I could do without the VH for sure!

It's something I always look forward to so I say YAY. Wasn't an option for us NOT to have it. Love me my sweets

Re: VH yay or nay (w poll)
We did a huuuuuge candy buffet and a tasting plate of 3 mini desserts plus the wedding cake, of course!
The candy buffet was a SMASH hit! I used oversized vintage looking glass hurricanes and had personalized stickers and bags made up - will post pics when I get my proofs!
We had no interest in VH - we didn't want anything about our wedding to be 'catering hall-ish'....
