Hi, all,
Can anyone tell me who they are using for their video or who they have looked into? What is the average price everyone is paying?
Thanks so much,
Helen

I am using Platinum Video..Peter is his name, he has a website and his office is in Smithtown..his work is beautiful!! he does the filming and editting. Think we are paying around 1,500.
We are using Cassarino Studios (for video & photography). The video is $1695.
Hi,
What are you getting for those prices? How many copies? Anyone getting 2-camera coverage?
Thanks
For what its worth I will pass on this bit of insite a friend of mine gave me (He is a director for many HBO projects)Remeber who the actors in this production will be.. Uncle Harry is not Clint Eastwood and your Maid of Honor is not Julia Roberts. A good video editor can do wonders but can only edit what he or she gets on film.
Not to dissuade anyone from haveing a video - We are having one ourselves. For what its worth.
I am using Multi-Media Video Productions. The price is $1500 and it includes three copies. They only use one camera.
Hi, we're using Platinum Video also. Mine is a lot more expensive. It's costing us $2,800. We can't afford it, but after we saw it, we fell in love with it. We weren't even going to get a video. We're getting the Short Form Edit with 2 camera coverage, DVD's, the master tape, VHS copy, etc. It's a great package. He threw in a lot of stuff for us at cost. Good luck!
We are using Keepsake Videos. They run from $1600 up. They use standard 2 camera coverage at the ceremony, if you want it at the reception, thats a bit more. I am not sure of the top price but I love the 2 camera idea!!
You can get a raw version for about $600...both my DJ and photographer offer them...just haven't decided what to do yet.
My husbands cousin went with the DJ who did videos too and the quality was not that good. I don't remeber who she used. It's been 7 years and the tape is already bad. She paid about $500-$600...so I guess you get what you paid for. A video is well worth the money...it's nice to go back and see everything that went on that day. As time goes by you forget all the little details of your day or which person was doing what, it's nice to see that.
Good point, but that was 7 years ago. I think they use digital now, don't you think they will last a little longer? I thought it was the same, just wothout the editing.
I am meeting with a lot of video pros over the next three weeks. If you would like to e-mail me I can send you my results. I am looking to spend at most $1500.00. Orginally I had $2000 in my budget for video but decided to spend more on a photographer. My e-mail is [email protected]
