Please advise me on how log it took you ladies to get your video. Was it delayed? How long is acceptable? A VERY well known vendor who is highly regarded on this website was super friendly when we booked but I feel has not been as good after the fact...thier communication has been weak. Maybe I'm just over-eager to get it - but please let me know what the average times/delays are! Thanks you sooooo much.

Re: Video Delay - Vendor at fault?!
How long did they tell you?
Once we got all the information to the videographer it took about 6 months to get all the edited DVD's in our hands. This is what they told us when we booked so we knew in advance it would take a while.

Re: Video Delay - Vendor at fault?!
It's several weeks...past the date w/o even an apology. I can't beleve how many people read the post and won't share feedback. I understand that everybody's wedding day is absolutely 'amazing' BUT you girls seem to forget that for the $$ we pay for everything - it BETTER BE! On Long Island we pay top dollar - and vendors continue to overbook themselves to cash in on EVERY cent. No one agrees?!?!

Re: Video Delay - Vendor at fault?!
Since they haven't delivered the video in a timely fashion per your contract speak to the owner, threaten to out them at LIW, etc. Delays happen, but the vendors should be accountable and at the very least apologize.
BTW, I DOUBT anyone forgets how much we paid for our weddings and maybe they didn't reply because they have not had their weddings yet so they have no idea how long it really takes to get the final product.

Have you called them? Are they returning your calls? Do you have something in the contract about delivery date?

I'm confused since your profile says you just got engaged and your wedding is in 2006.

Re: Video Delay - Vendor at fault?!
It took 4 months to get our wedding DVD, which turned out to be Christmas Eve. What a great gift, and was according to schedule on contract.

i think she is an alias (another name)
all you need is to show them contract with date...then complain and/or sue

Re: Video Delay - Vendor at fault?!
I think the reason so many people read this and didn't respond is because many of us are brides to be and haven't dealt with this. Why don't you post this on the newlywed board. They are sure to have more info that us! Sorry.

I just received a call today, believe it or not, and ours is completed. I am picking it up on Monday. It took 1 month exactly.
