I just can't make up my mind! I have a long list of video people that seem good based on the samples of videos on the web or the ones they sent me. How did you make a decision? My price range is pretty generous and I don't want to go with someone just because they are the cheapest. I want someone that is really good!
Any suggestions? Please help this is a hard decision.
btw-my photographer is a friend who is in the biz & I've asked him for a referral but he hasn't been abe to give me any yet. He doesn't have one 'on staff'.

Re: Video Question
I HIGHLY recommend JPI Films. I loved Joe's videos. I met with Joe in person and he really loves what he does. He is super friendly and accomodating. What I liked most is that he wants our input. It is our day and he wants to know what our vision is and what things we want in our video. If he's not on your list you should definetly check out his blog. He's a vendor on here. FM me if you have any other questions.

Re: Video Question
i also recommend JPI.
but in genernal, one thing i would recommend is asking to view samples of an ENTIRE wedding video!!!!!
lots of stuff i saw online was a nice highlight reel...but then i asked to see more, and it was just raw, choppy footage. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!
of course, it depends how interested you are in video. i was really picky about video and i wanted teh WHOLE thing to be nicely edited...not just the 3 minute highlight/trailer
so dont be fooled! GL!!
if you telll us who is on your list, we may be able to help out

Re: Video Question
Meet with them and see if you connect with them, that's how I picked mine. Regardless of budget, you have to see with whom you have a good connection with because they will be working with you on your special day. You might find that you connect better with a cheaper videographer, that doesn't mean that you are judging by price, just means that you like them better. I have heard AWESOME things about Orange Films. Most brides I have talked to connect with him right away. Also, Mittermax was another one where people just connected right away as well. My videographer is a freelance videographer/editor that I contacted because of my budget but I met with him and connected so I booked him. It's all about how you feel when you meet them!

I would call In Sync. They sent me a full video in the mail. Jeffrey THomas did too but I didn't like it too much. JMO I totally agree with little j. I saw Jeffrey Thomas' sample and love it but when I saw the entire video I did not like it so much. I want to set up an appt with Couped up and Infinite for that same reason because they only sent short samples.

If we had more in the video budget, would have done them!!!
We set a budget, and then worked hard to find the best quality within that budget. And Pennylane was NOT in our budget. But I am okay with it.
