Video under $500

Any recommendation for a videographer that is under $500 - I just want the raw footage - nothing fancy.

TIA!!!

That's going to be really tough.
My video is $3k + and that's 2 camera ppl and pretty basic.

How about having a family member do it for you?
OR you can call SVA and see if there are students that are willing to work for little money if you have the equipment. My ex went to SVA and he said people posted that kind of stuff a lot...the students were sometimes more creative than the pros

When I asked for quotes for 1 hour of raw footage coverage just for my ceremony, I didn't receive any quotes cheaper than $400, so I guess it depends on how long you want it for. Needless to say we didn't hire anyone. Good Luck!!

Yikes - I think i am going to survey the neighborhood video guys to see how much they will charge as opposed to a wedding videographer.

You can maybe go to a college and see if one of the professors can recommend a film student. Maybe they can do it for $200. They may even be able to turn it into a project and it can work out in their benefit as well as yours.

go to the 'services' section on craigslist and then choose 'creative'

That's a tought number- Rambling Rose does have pacakges that low but not for very much time. Raw footage from my videographer was about 800, if I remember correctly. What I have learned from my wedding and my friend's weddings- for the most part you get what you pay for. If you want to simply capture the moving images from your wedding and will risk that you won't love it then go for it. I knew that I wanted a keepsake and a highlight video done for me and on a DVD- nothing fancy and I refused to go over 1500, I found that but haven't seen the footage so I can't tell you how it looks! Good luck and if you keep searching I'm sure you will find what you are looking for!

did you ask for quotes on the Vendors helping brides board? I also didn't get many under $500 but definitely in the 600-800 range and it wasn't just for raw footage..good luck!
