Videographer

Videographer

Ladies:

I am in need of your help. Originally, my FH and I decided not to have a videographer and instead put more $$ toward a photographer. Now after talking with many of my friends who have recently got married, they think I am crazy for not having one.

My question is, how much did you ladies spend and do you think I am crazy for not wanting one. Since we agreed and booked a more expensive photographer my FH does not want to hear about having a videographer. The reason why I ask the amount you ladies spent, it'll give me a better idea of whether or not I have an argument.

Help, need your opinion.

TIA.

Re: Videographer

dont remember the breakdown since we got photo and video from the same vendor, but i do think video is very impt.

for example, my grandfather has been very sick lately but made it a priority to be able to walk down the aisle at my wedding. i walked out last, so i didnt get to see him. he's so proud that he was able to do it and my video is worth it alone just for that one moment.

the day went by in a blur and im sure there's so much we missed, im nervous about seeing myself on camera but they will edit out anything stupid. i also want to see if we looked super awkward during our first dance since neither of us has rhythem, and i want to be able to relive the day.

if you dont do a videographer, at least buy a camcorder and have it passed around or have a friend's sibling tape the day for you. we had DH's camcorder before the ceremony and at the afterparty and had some priceless moments captured

Re: Videographer

I agre with you that it is important, and I didnt think so prior to us getting engaged. But since planning the wedding, I LOVED everyone trailer on here and it seemed to me that we will remember it more, or see things we wouldnt have otherswise.

Thank you for your feedback.

Re: Videographer

We did both from same company for $5000- We used Duval in Wantagh. I think you should go for it.. You might regret it later on. We only get one chance at this so take advantage

Re: Videographer

I would definitely recommend having a videographer. Even if its just a package that gives you unedited footage. Those i think can be as low as $700 maybe less?
