Re: videographer
I have been hunting for the right videographer for our wedding. We have been quoted everything from $1800 to $3800. We really aren't trying to spend over $2400 for video. I'll Fm some of the quotes that I received...
What are you looking for as far as packaging,etc...

Re: videographer
it depends on the quality of the video, we were quoted all different prices. from $900 upto $5000.
honestly, if you don't care about the video, I wouldn't spend too much on it.
it is really important to me, so we went with a more expensive videographer, just not the one I REALLY wanted... they were TOO expensive.

Re: videographer
thanks ladies! To me the photos are more important then the video which is why i dont want to spend a lot. But it seems that $1900 is not as expensive as i thought it was so ill prob just work with the photo/video together since they are a husband & wife team. I have no idea what type of package for video i want...i just want a video lol.

Re: videographer
I am paying $1K for video - I am getting it through the same company that is doing my photography and ordinarily, they charge in the $1500 price range and higher, but since I already got photos w/ them I negotiated down to 1K.

Re: videographer
I am paying $1800 but am getting 2 cameras for the full day with a bumch of other added stuff. I have been quoted as low as $750 for basic video with 1 camera person. it really depends what style you are looking for...documentary or cinematic

Re: videographer
ok looks like i need to find out what the $1900 covers. I want something basic but i dont want it to be a video that a family member could have taken. Maybe ill negotiate to work with them together

Hey girl!! Absolutley - you def get a better deal if you bundle it with your photography. Its a good negotiating point. Most places also start at the brides house but you could also cut cost by doing the ceremony til the end since pictures will also help capture you at your house (if you're looking for something basic). Ps. Lighthouse also has video services

joseph edwards. AMAZING work!! we're paying way too much lol $4000. But to me it's so worth it. this guy is unbelievable. were getting a 'special 8' effect which makes it look like something you see on tv. BTW im someone who went into wedding planning saying video is a waste of money, NOT DOING IT!
