I am considering booking a videographer that my FSIL had for her wedding. We saw the video and I cant even explain how amazing it was. I cried again as I watched it! She spent a pretty penny on the wedding so I was scared to hear what the video was for. It cost about $2500. Im clueless as whether that is too much or not.
I haven't looked around yet either so I have nothing to compare it to. I am on a extreme budget so I dont want to make the wrong decision there and cheese out on something else important like my photographer.

Re: Videographer-Average price? Is $2500 too much?
That's about what I'm paying and that's the average of what I've heard about from friends....but you can always get it cheaper or more expensive...I've seen posts on here for a lot cheaper and I've also heard about much more expensive videographers...but $2500 is what I'm spending.

Yes, that is. The person I am using is only charging me $1350.00 and that is for a great package including everything and two wedding videos on tape and one dvd of our wedding. I used Infinite Video in Commack. He does a great job (he did my best friends wedding as well) and he is very professional, friendly and nice! His name is Michael Burns, if you are interested.

Yes it is. We used Bellarino and paid $1200 for an unedited tape, 2 DVDs (one chaptered and the other non chaptered) and a tape. Phil and Kate are such wonderful people to work with.

It depends on how important it is to you and the quality of the work (which it sounds like is very good!). For us, we spent almost as much on video as on photography (goodbye Starbucks lattes ) but it was really worth it because we wanted to have a great video that we would WANT to watch and not get bored with. Also, we wanted someone who would do interviews with us and our family members, especially the grandparents because their voices and mannerisms are something that can't be captured with a photograph. If you want it, get it. You don't want to regret getting a bad videographer. Hope this helps!

Well, I chose 'Riccardo video' and they are charging me $3,500. So, I would say 2500 is a good price.

We are paying around that too. We're paying more for videography than photography, but our albums and pics aren't included.

We are using Riccardo also. The VIdeo is costing almost as much as the photgrapher, but I loved the work that this place did!

$2000 is too much I think. Most pple I know paid between 1200-1500. I'm paying $1400 for a great package..Rambling Rose Video..the demo I saw was the best out of all other companies.

I am paying more than that for my video. I know it's an insane amount, but I loved his work. John Morelli
His samples blew me away. They are not boring at all and I had fun watching weddings of strangers.

That price is about avg. I used LCA studio's and chose a movie style pkge for $2695, but upgraded so my video cost $3300. Frank has a movie style pkg that starts at $1995. He is a vendor on this site, check him out. 917 318-8825 is cell number.
