I called the Videographer this weekend to find out how much more I have to pay before the wedding and he said the entire balance is due before the wedding. I said to him that that makes no sense b/c I am paying for a product that I have not received yet and there is nothing holding him to get the video done and to me. I actually didn't speak w/ the videographer I spoke w/ the DJ who works w/ the videographer so I have to actually sit down w/ the videographer and find out what is going on.
Did this happen to anyone else or did you pay the balance of your bill when you actually received your video.

We paid all but $100 prior to the wedding. I don't know if this is the norm but it was how they worked.

We have about 1/3 of total price due when we pick up the video the rest is due prior to wedding.

We're on a payment plan but I don't pay the final payment until I pick up my proofs.

We are paying $500 to hold the date and the balance is due after the wedding when they begin editting.
Paying all upfront seems sketchy.

We are paying half of the balance before the wedding and the rest when we get our video.
