Videographer needed under $1000 - is that possible?!?!
I already have a photographer but they do not do video. I am looking for a 'cheap' videographer but everyone seems to be over $1000. Has anyone hired a videographer in the $600 - $800 range?

you may be able to get a shoot only package for the price. no editing.. but a basic package is going to be over $1200 I would think.

try staking out a video school or technical school like NYIT... talk to people and ask around, intro yourself, explain the situation and you never know, you might get urself a video student who has access to school equip for editing who will do it for dirt cheap b/c he has no over-head.
art students are very talented and tend to be really dedicated b/c they are just starting out-- it's worth a shot and if you feel comfortable, go for it. you can write up a simple contract just to keep things on the up and up!
