Videographer or not?

Videographer or not?

I thought for certain that I would have a videographer, but now I'm not so certain. I can't really see the point of spending several thousand dollars on a video that I might watch a handful of times.

I hate myself on film, which also adds to my hesitancy.

Opinions, ladies?

Definitely no videographer for me, I always hate myself on film, so I would probably never look at it. FH thinks they are an annoyance and will make guests uncomfortable. NOt to mention the outrageous prices

I'm not getting a professional video...I didn't want to spend the money. However...one of my sister's friends is going to come to the wedding and take an ametuer video...so I'll have something.

Don't make the same mistake I made.....GET A VIDEO!!!
I wish I had done it and regret it so much and it's only been 3 weeks since my wedding...lol!

I will admit - I was a little hesitant about getting a video as well. I always hate how I look on camera and especially hate how I look on video. However, my DH and I decided to get a video of our wedding anyway and it was the best decision we made. I love our video and am constantly watching it. Although I love our pictures, they didn't capture everything that happened that night as the video did. You may want to rethink your decision not to have a video. I did and I am so glad!

Definatly video

I attended Jennbaby's wedding and when I watched her video I felt like I was reliving her day all over again. It was great to see her MOH with the preggo belly, her friend from california, her mom looking stunning, her dad looking handsome, the flowers, everything.

I cant wait till my big day and the video so i can relive it forever.

I think the video is great because it captures the true emotions, the feelings, the movements that a photo wont capture

Re: Videographer or not?

I opted for a video and I am so glad that I did it. For several reasons...
There are so many things that you miss on that day.
There are so many things that happen that you want to replay and memories become fuzzy after awhile.
I want to have something to share with my family years from now.

As a side note- I don't consider myself to be photogenic and my pictures came out great and I am assuming that my video will be the same. So don't worry about not being highly photogenic.
