Videographer Regrets?

Videographer Regrets?

Hi,

Just an '09'er crashing .... quick question. Did you guys have videographers? if so, was it worth it? If not, do you regret it?

I know this is subjective and depends on if you are the type to ever watch the video afterward but I am just curious to see responses. I want one, but my ballooning budget has caused me to reevaluate a bit.

Thanks in advance

Yes, I loved watching the video- I missed so many things that happened that day. Plus the videographer had my grandmother say something on camera- and I will treasure that when she is gone someday- as well as seeing other older relatives dancing and having a good time. I also figure that my kids will want to see it someday.

I used Halo- they were very reasonable- I think my package was about $1000

I love watching videos....I am getting videographer for my wedding from Ariana Studios. We paid 1795.00 (3 dvds edited from bride getting ready to the end of reception)

I think videographers are a must have, nothing will capture your day like a video, if I could only have two vendors, it would be a photographer and videographer because you want to remember that day for the rest of your life, you want to have something to show to your kids and grandchildren...

definitely get it. i looove mine. its so different seeing the day through moving real life video then with a regular pictures. my photographer did not take pictures of everyone but almost everyone is in the video. i did not however get a wedding album through the photographer - i made mine on kodakgallery which i also highly recommend -by doing that, i saved 100s to put towards the video

I recommend it. I was so against having one but quite a few people talked me into getting one and it was the best thing I've ever done. There are so many things you miss that day and to see them again is awesome. I still get teary eyed during our ceremony.

Even if you'll only watch it one time after you get it, it's worth it.

I had one!!! I'm so glad I did!!!! I would have really regretted it now if I didn't. The day goes so fast..so there are things you will miss..
I love my video ...it really captures all of the moments and emotions of the day photographs sometimes don't! and I love that I can show it to my children one day

Although I didn't get mine yet....I am so excited to see it. I think if you didn't or don't get it you might regret it.

It's definitely worth it. I prefer the video to pictures. There is so much you miss that you don't realize until people start talking about it, and I'm so glad I had to the video to see it all.
I think the best part of all was seeing FH getting ready (we had 2 videographers) and seeing how nervous and happy he was. Worth every penny.

I didn't want it, but DH did and I'm so glad we did it. I finally just gave our music selections to them so I hope it won't be long! We used Mittermax.

we were so set against having one, then at the last minute we decided to get one and i'm so glad we did. granted, we've only watched our video once, but our parents loved watching it, and it's nice to know that we can show our children our wedding video.

we also used halo, and their packages start at $1,000.
