Videographer reviews - just my opinions

thought I'd pass along my findings with videos... I've seen 3 - Platinum, JR and T&T. Platinum was by far my favorite. Its a one man operation - Peter does all the taping and editing - what you see is who you get. He has a elegant artistic style to his videos. I watched 3 - I could've kept watching all day. He does beautiful work. T&T - I didn't meet with them but I saw there demo. It was good. Nicely done and reasonably priced, but didn't WOW me. JR - Don't mean to offend those who have used them - they just were not my style. Lots of animation and special effects that was distracting and took away from the elegance of the day (again just my opinion - some people look for that in a video). They have a bunch of people on staff - you watch a video that 'Scott' did, but you don't necessarily get Scott on your wedding day. You don't even meet with the videographer until your wedding. They tried to upsell me to a higher package by offering a free DVD - and tried to convince me I was wrong when I mentioned that their liweddings website offers a free DVD with any package if you mention the ad. Anyway, they were everything I didn't want in a video. I haven't signed with anyone yet, but that's what I found so far...

LisaT

Check out Wild Rose Video www.wildrosevideo.com I looked at more than 6 videoo companies inc. Platinum. I also like Platinum but when I meet with Wild Rose I was sold. It is owned and operated by a couple, Bill and Marie. I was completely stunned at their worked. Plus I found their package included more than Platinum. They are excellent to work with, listened to watch I wanted and even made me a quick sample tape of the bridal house coverage to take home and show my Mom. e-mail me at [email protected] if you want more details. Good Luck.

Thanks Michele but Wild Rose is too pricey for us

we got a great deal with Platinum and he threw in a bunch of extras... bride's house re-cap digital master black & white 8mm camera shooting (old world effect) etc. I signed with Peter yesterday and I'm thrilled. He was exactly what we wanted.
