Has anyone here managed to find a videographer for under $1,000? I'm not looking for amazing quality - I just know the wedding will go by really quickly and would like to have a memory of it (photography was really important and we splurged on that, but I can live with just 'ok' videography).
I'd be really happy to find a film student or a place that's just starting out - has anyone been able to find something similar? I'd also be willing to only do, say, 4 hours - the ceremony and part of the reception - in order to cut down cost.
I'd appreciate any advice anyone can share or vendors you can suggest!

Definitely talk to Jack at JL Productions! That was my budget for video too, and he was one of the few people who came under budget without sacrificing quality.

This exactly!!! My budget was 1000 as well. Jack was the only person who met my budget and still gave me everything i wanted. He is willing to work with you to make sure you get what you want. He was a life saver! I almost gave up on finding a videographer!!! I have pasted his website below. His packages start at $695.
