Are you having a videographer? DH and I keep going back and forth about this. some days we think we want it, others we think it's an added expense we will get if we have money left over.

no videographer for us.. we're just not into it.. and for me personally.. it would make me REALLY uncomfortable having someone follow me around all day with a video camera lol

that's one of my hesitations. I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to deal with the photographer following me around all day taking pictures!

And this is my reasoning for wanting one. I have been so 'bi-polar' about this decision!

Re: Videographer with Poll
alot of brides who havent gotten one have regretted it after the wedding.
I got video as part of my package. I'm so glad I did, and now that the wedding is over, I can't wait to re-live it through the video! There are so many things I want to see happen all over again, and stuff I missed that I hope will be on there. I know I'd regret it if I hadn't gotten one.

Re: Videographer with Poll
for me personally it was something i had to have, even if i had to cut expenses in other ways...I want to be able to relive our wedding day, actually being able to watch us taking our vows, our first dance, speeches and all the important things...Also for our e-party FMIL surprised us with a videographer we had no idea until we got there so i had no intentions of having one for that but after when i watched it i was so happy about it. To hear my MOH's speech again, which you remember but not word for word and hearing it again was oh wow i forgot you said that part, and also from all the running around you do theres so many things you miss so you get to see that. I also would LOOOVE for our kids to be able to watch their parents taking their vows, seeing us on that day and really feel the emotions we went through. I wish my parents had video so i can see their wedding.
BUT i know some people are uncomfortable about it and to some it doesn't matter and they dont want to watch video of themselves. If this is something you do think you might want however but dont want to spend alot on it there are videography companies for alot less, some of them packages start at $999 and you can get a simple basic package...Even check craigslist, maybe theres students who will do it for alot less just so they can use as experience in their resumes....I once saw a girl hired a 2nd photographer for her wedding, a photography student and she did it for free just so she can get her portfolio started and she did a great job.

We have a package with photo. We are using Patken. We knew we always wanted a videographer. I love how Patken puts together their video. You really get to see your wedding all over again because it will go so fast that day.

We are having one. I've heard that some people regreted not having one. Also, the day is such a blur it will be nice to have something to look back on.

Re: Videographer with Poll
Good question. When FH and I set the date, I told him i didnt want a videographer. And not because of anything. I just didnt care for one and thought a photographer could capture memories. HE talked me down, and I went to a videographer and saw the videos they did. I was amazed. The things they capture and things that you dont get to see throughout the day because you are so overwhelmed but everything else.
Definetly get one. You can even get one that will just give you the raw footage if you are on a budget.
