Any suggestions on reasonably priced videography companies in Suffolk.

We just booked Pete from Platinum video in Smithtown - he has a website here and is reasonably priced - he comes highly recommended on this board and showed us some great work when we met with him.

We used JR Video, they are located in Selden, and Wading River. They did a fantastic job with my video

We are using Candletite Video. They are very nice people and from what I've heard, the camera is very small that you hardly see it.

No idea if its in Suffolk or Nassau (I don't live in LI) but we booked Wild Rose. Marie is a an absolute sweetheart, their prices are reasonable, work is simple and solid.

We used Wild Rose for our wedding and they are located in Suffolk. Islip to be exact. They were great to work with and we can't wait to get our video.

we met with a bunch of videographers and Peter from Platinum was by far the best out there!! Definately meet with him and check out his work..its Beautiful!! we are so excited that we found him.

Hey Anne-

We have the same wedding date and wedding location!!! Where in Southampton are you getting married??? Are you nervous yet? Who are you using for Flowers??

I booked Wild Rose Video for my wedding. Oh, I just realized they are booked for that date - there are two of them but I think they are both booked now.

Wild Rose Video. Marie and Bill are probably my best vendors. I never worry about the quality of my video. I meet with 6-7 others before chosing Wild Rose.

Make sure when you begin your search to ask:
-What type of lighting and camera equipment do you use? They DO NOT have to use those huge spotlights anymore, nor should they. THey are distracting to you and your guests.
-What type of sound equipments and mics do you use? If they say none, you will never hear your vows on the tape. They should use a small lapel mic on the groom.
-Make sure that you see more than just one sample/demo, in fact ask to see a full video, not just a bunch of highlights. You should see the flow, and if you like the editing.
-DO you like the person who will be your cameraman/women. THey will be with you ALL Day and night.

I dont know who to meet with either, I saw one video at a photographer I had gone to look at and all the bells and whistels to me were kind of nnyong, i want something calm nice music maybe some slow motion and black and white but thats about all the special effects Im looking for besides the baby pics, do places do it this way? What about this wild rose place?

Tara: Wild Rose is exactly as you describe you want - simple effects (B&W, Sepia, some fade ins - no cartoons or other stuff). They include a simple but montage of baby photos and honeymoon photos set to music.

We are getting married at Sacred Hearts Church and then a reception at Southampton Elks club. My best friend is a gardener in Southampton so she is going to get fresh flowers from the gardens she works with. Most of the people she works for are only here until Labor day so the flowers the flowers would just go to waste.

I'm from Brooklyn actually but rented a big house in Southampton and I'm having the wedding in the garden and the party at the house. I'm actually getting my flowers from the local farmstand too - I went last year around that time and the guy was open and had some beautiful stuff. But I'm using a florist for my bouquets, just not sure which one yet.

Wow! We are getting married April 26 next year... we are having the ceremony at Sacred Hearts, and the reception at East Wind.. I grew up in Southampton but live in Pine Hills now.. I still work in Southampton though!! What year did you graduate?? or e-mai me [email protected]
