videography

I am on a tight budget and am not sure I can afford a videographer. Did anyone have one that was under $500? Or is that not going to happen? I don't need anything fancy- just key points on video. I'd be happy with a friend taping with their home camera, but I don't want friends having to worry about this at the wedding.

Thanks!! :)

Re: videography

Can I tell you the absolute truth...I would have given up anything if I had to in order to have my video. it is my most cherished possession now!!!! You NEED to go for it. I paid $1200 for the basics, no bells or whistles. I am sure you can find cheaper but I honestly relive my wedding day every time I watch it and my friends and family enjoy watching it also. My DH was so funny, he's like 'No one wants to see OUR wedding video' but I had a bunch of our friends over and we watched and not only did they love it, one of them asked for a copy because he enjoyed seeing his own drunk *** having such a good time. It was so worth it! It caught everything that happened and there are things on it that I missed myself and that the photographer missed so it was so worth the money. Sorry for rambling....good luck!

Re: videography

I paid 1250 (but booked awhile back so im sure it has gone up) for 3 dvds and raw footage, all day filming, editing-with baby and HM pictures, chapters...

it is a beautiful video and I would be so upset if I didnt have it!

I am not sure if you are going to find someone for $500.00 but maybe you can cut away a few hundred for favors or flowers, or something else and get the video! It is so worth it!

(just thought---maybe craigslist)
