video/photo help

okay my question is that some people/companies do STRICTLY photography and some do strictly video....

and there are some places that offer u video and photo packages... they do both

should i book a seperate videographer and a seperate photographer??

or if i find a company that does BOTH , thats okay too?

im not sure how this works

Our company does both. It just made things easier for us. I don't think it really matters.JMO

we used a company that did both, but it really depends on your budget and what you like. If you find a place that only does pics but you love their style then go with that....

ETA - some will tell you that its better to book the ones that are one co. b/c they work together all the time but I don't think thats a huge deal. Good luck

I booked two separate ones. When I was first looking, people (I can't remember who exactly) had me convinced that I needed to book separately b/c they are more sophisticated, experienced, etc. in that particular area. In retrospect, that's b.s. I will also say that when you go to a photographer and they tell you that you really should use their video guy b/c they work together all the time and they know how to work with each, that's b.s. too. Although, I will say that some of the photography companies videos that they showed us were pretty crappy so definitely see the videos before you commit to their videographer.

I loved Wild Rose for video and I wanted them. So that's the reason I have two separate. Go shop around. When you see what you like, you can go from there.

definitely just go for appointments and see who you like the best... i dont think it really matters if they do both or you get seperate vendors.

AND IF THEYRE NOT FROM THE SAME COMPANY .. MOST VENDORS KNOW EACH OTHER PRETTY MUCH AND WORK WELL TOGETHER

I thought about booking 1 for both, however I loved my photographers photos...but wasn't thrilled with their video, so I ended up with 2 different companies and it worked out great!

I think if you find one company who does both that you should go for it!

It will put your mind at ease because you will know that they will work together!
