Help!!! i just got my birdcage viel in the mail and its way way longer than i expected!!! i wanted the netting to come just below or at my eye level instead its down to my neck! and its from weddingfactorydirect so i cant return. where can i take this to be shortened? im afraid if i cut it myself i will mess it up.

Speak with where you are getting your dress. Instead of cutting they may be able to pull it back and stitch it in cleanly.

i will definitely take the veil with me when my dress gets in and see if the alterations department can work magic on it, but does anyone have any other suggestion? I'm just worried the bridal shop is going to refuse to touch it because i didn't buy it from them

shouldn't be too hard of a fix. I make these and most of them are that long unless you do a bandeau style which is my fave kind... My suggestion if they wont do it... cut it from the top NOT BY YOUR FACE!!! and re-sew it on
I am available to help if you need and can sew it back either bandeau style or just shorten it :)

I have seen french veils that were double layered. How would it look if you folded it? It might not work because of how it is sewn in the back but it's worth a shot.

I'm going to play around with the placement of it tonight. I've been reading online and i don't think i had it in the right spot. if its sill too long for me i may take you up on your offer. I'll definitely send you FM if I cant figure out.
