Viennese Table

Well, after last night I really wanted to upgrade this because it was a real highlight of the night. I am a desert nut! We had already agreed to get a chocolate fountain, but I loved the cordials and all of the extras that you get w/ a deluxe viennese. However, when I called my hall I found out it would be $800 more to upgrade that one thing! To me that's rediculous because for that price I could have gotten the formal menu and gotten better CH and grilled Mahi Mahi and duck for entree and had the deluxe viennese included! So my question is, does anyone miss all of the yummies for a basic viennese after all of the food of the reception? Is it worth $800 for desert?

I personally don't like cake, cookies or cannolis. My favs are the chocolate fountain and the ice cream station. I was in HEAVEN last night. I also like the different liqueors (sp?) in the mini chocolate cups.

The chocolate 'bar', you can do yourself or hire someone for about $400.

I liked the popcorn thing and the cotton candy, but those aren't necessary. I think you're good with the chocolate fountain... that's the BEST!

where are you getting married? I'm at fox hollow and i'm doing a mini viennese which is a nice comprimise -- i don't think its on their extras menu so if that's where you are you'll need to ask.

but IMO, I don't think its worth another $800 (mine was thrown in with my package). Especially if you have a chocolate fountain (impressive, great presentation and will be a hit). Plus, dessert, plus a wedding cake. that's a lot of yummy treats & your guests will be stuffed.

i wouldn't sweat it.

I am not doing it b/c...

1-There will be so much food at the CH and dinner, then cake w/ an included additional dessert.

2-It's extra money that we really can't justify

3-I don't want to disrupt the party w/ having the dessrts brought in or having the guests go to another room for the desserts.
