Is anyone having a viennese table or had one? Let me know because I don't know if I want one or not.

Re: Viennese Table
We decided to not go with one...I think a lot of our family won't be in to it so we didn't go with it...but either way you don't need to have one if you don't want it.

Yup that's what it is. It has ice cream, lots of cookies, cheese cakes and pies, international coffees, chocolate dipped fruit, and lots of good stuff. I just wanted to know if anyone got this and liked the result.

yeah its actually a couple of tables full of desserts. Chocolate fountain with things to dip in it. Cheesecakes, they have stations where they make crepes there, sauces for certain things, a bunch of cakes, ice cream, pastries, cotton candy, candy apples, creme brulee, and a bunch more

Re: Viennese Table
some weddings halls dont add an extra hour instead they include it in the last hour and set it up in like the cocktail room so guest can just go in and get stuff and it doesnt inturupt the dancing
i am having it and at my RH they give an extra hour and the last hour it is set up on the dance floor but we still have a full 5 hours of dancing and they have to go containers so guest can take stuff home with them too

If it gets too late, then your guests may not stay for the extra hour because they want to get home and they're already so full. I love the idea of it because I LOVE SWEETS but usually people are so full by the end of the night, I don't know if you really need it.

The VH hour will be from 11:30-12:30 like regular VH hours and then after its actually an extra hour we added on top of it.
My side will stay though lol, my dad thinks 1:30 is extremely early bc usually in my culture weddings end at at least 5am lol

Re: Viennese Table
We decided not to do one, because it adds an extra hour to the reception and we are a daytime reception, and it also seems to go to a lot of waste. By that time most people are full. I would rather add that money to the cocktain hour food (adding in the seafood bar)
We are adding a 'Touch of Vienesse' which are trays of pastries, cookies, and fruit placed on each table, to be served with the wedding cake and coffee.

Re: Viennese Table
i really want this, but its a lot of extra $$ that we just can't swing at this point.. my hall also gives everyone desert seperate from the wedding cake, so I'm not to concerned
