Anyone heard of Vieques or been there? My FH is from P.R. and he's never been. It looks like a verrrry low key place, exactly what im looking for for a honeymoon. It as has a beautiful biobay and we can do some diving. Anyone ever been or heard anything about there?
I've been to Culebra which is the other island off of PR. We stayed in San Juan, drove to Fajardo and hopped on te local ferry to Culebra (also a ferry that go's to Vieques(wasn't working)). Once you get there, tons of cabs are waiting to pick you up (for like $2 pp) and whisk you away to a gorgeous beach! We stayed for the day, had lunch at the kiosks on the beach and caught the 6pm ferry back to our car. It was a great experience. I think that Vieques has more hotels/options then Culebra but they are both gorgeous little islands.
