We went to a wedding there last night and it was truly a wedding to remember. The grounds, the cocktail hour, the rooms, the food, and the service were all beyond excellent. Too bad my daughter and FSIL thought it was too far East for her wedding.
I have one suggestion to make. By all means stress that your guests arrive early so they have time to walk around and enjoy the grounds. We got stuck in traffic and arrived just as the cocktail hour was starting, but I kept peeking outside to see what I missed.

Yayyyy. It is always nice to read nice things about something you picked. Thanks for the advice. I am having my ceremony there and had wanted to put down an extra half hour on the invites so people dont show up late. We have people who think 6 pm means 6:30 etc., etc. At least they can can walk around and feel comfortable.

Great to hear. I'm getting married there in March, 2004. My mass is in Queens on a Friday night and we have to drive all the way out east but I hear that it's definitely worth it. My mass is at 4:00pm and my cocktail hour starts at 8:00pm so even with Friday night traffic, hopefully my guests will still have some time to walk around.

Wow, what lucky brides you all are. If you have never attended a wedding there, you will be absolutely amazed. I've been to many, many weddings over the years, but the attention to every detail was beyond words. For example, my husband commented that this was the only wedding we have ever been to that used full size dinner plates for the coctail hour. During the dinner, before we even finished our water, or a glass of wine (insert a hiccup here!), the waiter was pouring another on top. I have two sons left to get engaged. I really hope one of those girls asks for my opinion on where to have a wedding. Please post pictures girls. I would love to see a ceremony there. Can I crash????

I have also never been to a wedding there, but I went to a Bridal Showcase and Bridal Shower, but both were amazing. I also have been going to Momma Lombardi's for ever, and I love te food. They seem to be extremely detail oriented, evne to an excess in my dealings with them. But I heard it is so worth it. My neighbor got married there and people are still raving about it.
It gets me even more excited for my wedding.

Thanks for the review! I am having my ceremony there as well and will remember to tell my guests to get there a little bit early to enjoy the grounds. It's great to hear that you were very happy with the service and of course the food!
