Villa Lombardi Girls!!.....
Absolutely amazing!! I went to a wedding there on Monday night and it was nothing short of incredible. The food was absolutely amazing! The decor was beautiful and the service was great! Very nice and very attentive!!
The cocktail hour was so good I had three huge plates of food! Between my FH and I we tried the tomato and mozzarella, olives, Italian cheeses and meats, fried calamari, mussels in oil and garlic, eggplant rolotini, pasta with pesto sauce, pulled pork, sushi, the mashed potatoes from the mashed potato bar...I'm sure we had more I just can't remember! Everything was absolutely amazing! The ice sculpture was beautiful, every station was beautiful and everyone that worked there was so nice and helpful. The champagne and strawberry greeting was so good!
The reception room was so nice! We were in the room further away from the cocktail hour room, right by the bathrooms. It had a beautiful fireplace that was decorated with candles. The sweetheart table was beautiful. When we walked in, the appetizer was at our tables ready for us - tomato and mozzarella with roasted red peppers - very good. They performed the champagne march which was so cool! The entire wait staff came marching out to some song that I can't remember and marched around the room. They then poured the champagne fresh. Very nice! We also had pasta and Cesar salad. Also very good! FH and I both had the shrimp oreganata for dinner. Amazing!! Our friend had the salmon which she also said was very good. What I also liked is that I think when you ask for your food to be wrapped, not only do they do this, but they bring it out to you in a tinfoil swan! It was so cute! I am pretty sure it was wrapped food because it appeared at a seat at out table after they cleared the food away.
The cake was gorgeous, but I honestly did not have a taste because they had the Viennese hour and I filled up on that. I also did not even realize that the cake was a station at the Viennese. I didn't realize it was not brought to you like it normally would be. But between FH and I we had the chocolate fountain, zepoles, the make your own ice cream sundae, fruit and cappuccinos. Very good! The Viennese tables were also brought out to music. What I also liked, which I am not sure if Villa Lombardi supplied, or if the family brought these, they wrapped all the extra cookies and pastries in tins at the end of the night for the bride and groom (or whoever) to take home.
Some general things: At the end of the night, the centerpieces were taken apart and each girl left with a mini bouquet of flowers. Very nice touch! I'm not sure who the florist was, but the flowers were beautiful! The DJ was also very good - Body Rock. They also had the percussionist and the plasma screens. Also very nice touches!
Oh and also, the white wine was very good - The label said it was their own wine.
Overall, the place was amazing and all Villa Lombardi girls have absolutely nothing to worry about!! Your weddings will be beautiful!!!!
