i went there for a wedding & its so beautiful there. The service & food were GREAT!!! I would definite go & see it in person. The website does no justice- its more brautiful in person- i would've booked there if i didnt live so far. i was also there for an engagement party & a bridal shower. All parties i went to over there were great.

not a prob- yeah it seemed like i had to wait 'forever' for me & my FH to go to look at some halls. Are u looking at halls mostly in suffolk? How many people u intend to invite

probably will be inviting around 225 but we need to have a guarentee of 175- i will see. What kind of hall r u looking at- by the water, country club, hotel & more? I can tell u a few i've went to for weddings or visited it. How did u like the hall u went to so far? What price range r u looking at?

we went to Sand Castle, today we went to Larkfield Manor. WE LOVED Larkfield. It was definitely our style. Villa Lombardi was next. We are going to my best friends wedding at Leonards so we get to see how that is by being a guest.

Price range...anywhere from 65-100$ per head. We got a great deal from Larkfield also which makes us happy.

We have to guarantee 200 people but that shouldnt be too hard =)

I've been to Russos for many events but I live right near it.. I want to go somewhere else you know?

What places have you loved? We are looking for something elegant and classy. NOT Overboard. We are the type that like to look good on a budget!hahaha

Re: Villa Lombardi's

i'm also going to leonards for a wedding- i havent been there in years- that would be funny if it was the same wedding!! haha. Alot of places i went to were a little too much for us like over 100 per head.Thats why i chose Chateau La mer b/c they were in our budget & they offer u alot for your money. I went to floral terrace, everything was great but thelocation wasnt great at all, Fox hollow- great price, not really my style, they have a great cocktail area, flowerfield is gorgeous but too pricy for us- we want a summer wedding- thats in suffolk county, in saint james. Since you are getting married in nov, i'm sure they will give u a great deal, jericho terrace is also really nice- i'm going there the end of sept, i went there a few years ago for a wedding- service & food was really good!!!!! East wind, is really nice also i went to a wedding there a couple of years ago- i really liked it but it's too far- thats in wading river, i think thats it- if i remember anywhere else i will def let u know- sorry i really wasnt much help.

no you are a great help! really. I like hearing about all these places.

We will look at a few more but we liked what Larkfield Manor gave us for the price. But this is just the beginning so

thanks again!

Hey girly!!! I was just talking to Sean's Aunt about Villa Lombardi's. Her daughter got married there and they absolutely LOVED it!!! She said it was like the Russo's of Long Island. But I have heard alot of good things about that place....how did u like snadcastle?? Sean wanted to have ours there because of the free vacation lol

Hi! =)

I heard that Russo's is really nice, but that the food was just ok...didn't check it out.

My FH and I have booked Villa Lombardi's...I hear their food is unbelievable. They're having a showcase in September, so hopefully I can taste test then!

We saw Sandcastle, but liked Floral Terrace better (except for location.....they're on Jericho Tpke), but it's the same management and offer the same vacation deal.

Check out Jericho Terrace, they were #2 on our list. I really liked the place, and they offerred a lot more than Villa for a better price, but my FH and I didn't feel like they could comfortably accomodate our # of guests.

Good luck!!

Re: Villa Lombardi's

I thought it was beautiful, but it was very expensive...but, if you could afford Russo's, I'm sure you won't consider it pricey! I didn't care for the woman we dealt with there, she was too phoney baloney, and when we told her the price we were aiming for, she actually told us...I could do this that and the other...and if you only invited 200 people, instead of 250... it would come out to that price...
THANKS GENIUS!!! We are aware that if we invite less people...it will cost less!!!!

that said, I was in love with the place, it just wasn't doable..

Oh, and BTW, I'm getting married at Larkfield Manor....and so far, they've been absolutely wonderful!!!!
